Raglan is seeking someone who can read quickly and efficiently and conduct basic research on tight deadlines for one of its established authors. As a research assistant, you will aid in the construction of new materials to complement current series and others in development.
Duties and Responsibilities
Read current published books by said author (and potentially others).
Plan research-based projects.
Gather, record, organize, transcribe and verify the accuracy of data for project.
Prepare data for computer input.
Proofread and organize data for publication.
Other related duties as needed.
Two years of college-level course work in a relevant academic area using text-based research methods (English, History, Anthropology, Art History, or similar liberal arts focus) or the equivalent work experience.
High-level writing skills, with working knowledge of standard American grammar.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Consistent access to the internet and a computer for remote working.
Encyclopedic knowledge of independent romance novels.
Working knowledge of Google docs and sheets.
Knowledge of Vellum.
MLA or Chicago-Style citation and style proficiency.
